Razorfish, those feverish site designers who bring us typoGRAPHIC is an interactive experience about type and typography. This site is meant to illustrate the beauty, poetry, complexity, and history of type, while raising relevant questions about how typography is treated in the digital media, specifically online.
It's an on-line investigation into type, its history, legibility, anatomy, and perhaps the future of type on computer screens byAlex designed it at intern of Razorfish. typoGRAPHIC presents a nicely designed, though sketchy, history of type, but the anatomy section is Cool. You must wait, you'll get wonder. It's Shockwave, if you can resist playing around, learning about bowls, ears, spurs and arms. In it you keep going until you get to the wonderful moving screens where the type floats across your window and then lets you compare weights, serifs, and point sizes. I strong recommend you'll play with these interactive moving the letters into place to see how letters are designed.
